Things have been pretty busy, but I did manage to snap a couple photos of neat stuff. The Kokanee salmon are spawning and you can see the bright red fish swimming up Sheep Creek.
This blue grouse hen had a good looking brood and her and her youngsters were fun to watch.
I flew over the Book Cliffs last Friday looking for buffalo and noticed that the leaves are changing colors and I snapped a picture of my work cabin on Steer Ridge. I need to get out there and spend a night sometime soon. Can you see the cabin?
I leave on my Idaho antelope hunt in 2 days, so hopefully I will have some good stories and pronghorn pictures to share when I get back. I have also been working on a diatribe regarding the management (or lack thereof) of several controversial wildlife species that I hope to post soon.

High Uintas
I had the opportunity to spend some time in a helicopter over the High Uintas last week looking for these guys (notice the little group of Mountain Goats).
It was a great flight (no puking), and the scenery was amazing. I did not get a backpacking trip in this summer, and I am really wishing that I had. I might still have to try to get up there this fall before it gets too cold and snowy. What beautiful country.
